Important Note:

Before you start measuring, decide whether you want your blinds to be fitted inside the window recess or outside the window recess.

Recess Size:

Inside Window Recess

For Inside Window Recess, your blinds need to fit neatly inside the window frame. Follow these steps:

1. Measure the Width:

   • Measure the width of the recess in three different places (top, middle, and bottom).
   • Use the smallest measurement to ensure a proper fit.

2. Measure the Drop:

   • Measure the height of the recess in three places (left, middle, and right).
   • Use the smallest measurement to ensure the blinds hang evenly.

Important: For inside recess blinds, we will make any necessary deductions from your measurements to ensure the blind fits neatly inside the recess.

Exact Size (Outside Window Recess)

For Outside Window Recess, the blind will be designed to hang outside of the recess, overlapping the window. This is typically referred to as “finished blind width” or “pin width.”

1. Measure the Width:

   • Decide how much you want the blind to overlap the window.
   • Recommended: Add at least 7.5 cm (3 inches) on each side to ensure adequate coverage and block external light.

2. Measure the Drop:

   • Measure the height from where you want the blind to sit at the top (usually above the window frame) to where you want the blind to end (either at the window sill or lower).
   • Recommended: Add 7.5 cm (3 inches) at the top and bottom to maximize coverage.

Important: For outside recess blinds, do not make any deductions from your measurements. We will make the blind exactly to the size you provide.
